While speaking at the open house and exhibition for the upgrades coming to the Spanish Town Hospital, Health Minister Dr Christopher Tufton says as the government sets its vision to improve public health facilities, there will be major investments to build the nation’s health care resilience.
Dr Tufton says the health care facility must not be treated in a manner where it only focuses on one segment of the populace. However, he says the upgrades coming to the Spanish town hospital are necessary for the parish. ‘Over the next 3-5 years the commitment by the government is to spend approximately 15 billion dollars on its development plan,’ said the Health Minister. Meanwhile, he notes his Ministry will be going to market soon, for a software provider which will modernize data collection. Watch the full report below:
