Government Targets Nutrition and Exercise in Schools
As the government moves to change unhealthy lifestyle practices, improve Jamaica’s health profile and reduce rising healthcare costs, it will be implementing new policies and laws around food options in schools. Also of concern is a trend of students using electronic cigarettes in schools. Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton made the disclosure in his 2022/23 Sectoral presentation in Parliament, on Tuesday. Watch the full report:
