Gov’t Adds $4.3 Billion to Proposed Budget

The fourth supplementary estimate passed by the house has pushed the proposed budget over one trillion dollars. The fourth supplementary estimate for the fiscal year 2022/23 was approved in the House of Representatives on Tuesday. Minister of Finance & Public Service Dr Nigel Clarke announced that 4.3 billion dollars have been added to the proposed budget under the compensation package. He further notes the government’s plans to settle wage agreements for the financial year which ends march 31,2023 with some major public sector groups. Watch the report here:
