“Nobody moves” are words that welcomed fear and awareness that danger was afoot, as an alleged victim of another robbery attempt in Manchester says she was terrified to turn around and see a gun pointed in her direction. The gunmen who also robbed the gas station nearby then continued to steal bottles of liquor, while hastening to grab cash from the bar’s till.
Moments later she said she heard shots being fired outside the establishment. As the sound of an apparent confrontation rang out into the usually quiet Cross Keys community, they soon came to realize it was a licensed firearm holder challenging the robbers.
The confrontation led to both the licensed firearm holder, and one of the gunmen being shot. The licensed firearm holder was taken to the hospital and is reportedly in stable condition. Traumatized by this unfortunate incident, they say they are still shaken, as they recount palpable fear for their lives. This was the second robbery within hours of each other. The first of which happened in Knockpatrick, Manchester.
