Pandemonium in a section of the corporate area on Monday, May 10 where gunmen fresh from a murder scene were intercepted by the police sometime in the afternoon. The three men traveling in a Toyota Axio motorcar disturbed the peace when they opened gunfire on the police who gave chase following the murder of 48 year old Robert Fletcher, a businessman of Old Hope Road, St Andrew.
The brazen gun attack took place Monday afternoon in peak traffic while scores of motorists waited in cues at the popular intersection. Vendors and windscreen wipers performed their daily errands before gunshots rang out, cops taking cover behind civilian vehicles caught in the crossfire, within minutes, it was nothing short of a scene from a movie.
In the end two gangsters were killed, and the other in police custody.
