Haiti’s President, Jovenel Moise, has been assassinated. The president was killed at his private residence early Wednesday morning. His wife was also shot and has been flown to the United States for treatment. The country is now under a state of siege. The assassination has rocked the international community, an act described as “heinous, inhumane and barbaric.
