Member of Parliament for southeast St. Ann, Lisa Hanna is calling on comrades to throw their full support behind Party Leader Mark Golding. Golding has faced much opposition, since he took over the reins of leadership, with dwindling poll numbers and criticism about his leadership style and electability.
Hanna was vocal in her support for Mark Golding as party leader at the South St Andrew Constituency Conference on Saturday. As part of her personal philosophy, Hanna says she supports whoever is leading to maintain unity in the People’s National Party (PNP).
Golding has been facing opposition in his leadership by party members since his ascension to the post, after seeing off the challenge of Hanna during a contentious presidential election. Hanna is calling on fellow comrades to lend support to Golding, as the party is badly in need of unity to regain the confidence of the people. She states that the voting numbers over past years are telling of how divided the party is.
