A tour operator and businessman of Green Island was murdered in the Hanover on Wednesday, March 23. Fitzroy ‘Culture’ Watson 57-year-old was murdered while conducting business at his liquor store, Wednesday night; just a stone’s throw from the police station.
According to police reports, Watson was pounced upon by two men armed with guns. They shot him several times before escaping in a white motor vehicle. A childhood friend recounts his last moments with Watson; his death, history repeating itself. Watson’s family was too distraught to speak with our news team.
Word on the street is that the murder is linked to the recent shooting of seven men in Santoy District, Hanover- three of whom died. However, police say a motive has not yet been established. More details in the report:
