Hare Encourages Use of Driving Abstract

With only a few months left in 2022, the island Island Traffic Authority (ITA) says over 300 road fatalities have been recorded since the start of the year. Director of the Island Traffic Authority (ITA) Kenute Hare, is appealing to companies to request a driving abstract when employing drivers.

Speaking with CVM LIVE Tuesday Mr. Hare explained the purpose of the driving abstract. He says by requesting a driving abstract from employed drivers they will be encouraged to operate company vehicles with caution.

Hare says obtaining a driving abstract is a simple and quick process. The director says this will help promote safer roadways for motorists and pedestrians. Hare adds too many employed drivers are operating company vehicles recklessly, causing injuries and fatalities. Watch the full report:
