Harrison: “Teachers Seeing Increase in Tax but Not Salaries”

“Teachers are not begrudging any grouping of public sector workers”. So says the President of the Jamaica Teachers Association, Lasonja Harrison, who recently joined us on our panel discussion to share the discomfort teachers are facing with the current compensation package. 

Harrison says the issues have been raised since April 18 and teachers should not be short-changed, citing a fluctuation in salaries each month. Watch the report:
