Chief Justice Bryan Sykes says what can impact crime, is a seamless judicial system from the moment of an arrest, through to trial and appeal. Noting that criminal cases are typically addressed promptly, the Chief Justice admits that as the trial progresses, there are delays that hamper efficiency.
