Health Fair Benefits Single Mothers And Children In Riverton

Health fair benefits single mothers: The Social Development Commission (SDC) along with other entities staged a health fair in the Riverton community on Friday, geared towards single mothers with children.

Parish Manager for Kingston and St. Andrew at the SDC, Damion Hylton explains to CVM LIVE the role that the agency plays in this initiative.

Hylton says that while the event is conducted annually the target demographic varies according to the agency’s internal assessments, given the restraints of the coronavirus single mothers were the focus for this year’s event.

Meanwhile, one representative from L.E.A.D outreach initiative, the main donor behind the health fair shares that over years of executing this project it has been successful and beneficial to various communities.
