Health Systems to Process 1 Million Transactions At A Time

One hundred and five (105) health facilities will receive ICT upgrade before the end of 2022. Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton made the declaration on Thursday. He was talking during a tour which provided a first-hand view of the ICT infrastructure work being done to strengthen the health system across Jamaica. The tour concluded at Cable and Wireless Headquarters.

Cable and Wireless are partners in the project, tasked with the implementation of the system. They will install the software on some 2800 devices including laptops, tablets, and desktops, and connect them to a network. The health system, according to Dr. Tufton will be able to process 1 million transactions at a time. ICT lead Shawn Bolton attests to the security of the system. More details in this report:
