Tourism Minister Ed Bartlett in his sectoral presentation, praised his sector for its economic contribution and resilience throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. He says despite the world being torn apart with uncertainty, his Ministry’s performance was incredible, outlining the many gains that were just an account of the performance of the tourism industry during the pandemic.
Tourism minister ed bartlett in the sectoral debate on Tuesday says they have witnessed the largest winter season in the industry’s history pointing to the future performance which he says is poised to exceed expectations.
He adds approximately 1.2 million visitors were brought in, which accounts for a 90 plus per cent increase. Bartlett reiterated that never before in the country’s history has tourism contributed this significantly, while adding everything will be done to maintain and improve the sector. The minister outlined how the tourism ministry worked in tandem with every ministry documenting how it especially impacted agriculture. Watch the report:
