Holness Warns Foreigners to Stop Investing in Local Crime

As scores of foreigners continue to invest funds and weapons in Jamaica’s crime, Prime Minister Andrew Holness says he plans to visit Washington DC to meet with key agencies to help stem this financial flow.

He says a meeting will be held with the Justice Department, FBI, and other entities to better identify those investing in crime. He reiterates the Government is relentless despite the Opposition’s attempts to ” derail the government’s efforts to use the States of Public Emergency (SOPE) to curb crime”. Holness says as organized criminal violence continues to threaten society, the government will work assiduously and continue to use the SOPE to save lives and reduce violence.
