Hospital security is again being questioned with concerns that Jamaica’s only confirmed Monkeypox patient escaped care at the weekend. Opposition Junior Spokesperson on Health and Wellness, Jesse James Clarke is calling for an investigation into the incident and a boost in security for health care facilities.
When news broke of Jamaica’s first and so far, only Monkeypox patient braving a daring escape from the May Pen Hospital, questions concerning security in hospitals resurfaced. Though media reports, surrounding the circumstances of the male patient fleeing the facility are conflicting, it has raised several questions.
The Opposition Junior Spokesperson on Health and Wellness is calling for more to be done to boost security efforts. Clarke says there should be an investment to increase personnel and enhance safety in health care facilities. Watch the report for more details:
