The National Housing Trust (NHT) has issued a cautionary alert to its contributors regarding potential scammers attempting to exploit those anticipating January top-ups. Dwayne Berbick, Assistant General Manager for Corporate Communications, emphasized the importance of vigilance as fraudulent individuals pose as legitimate NHT representatives. Berbick highlighted a recent email scam instructing recipients to review personal information in an attached file, emphasizing that this is not the NHT’s standard procedure. To avoid falling victim to scams, contributors are urged to verify the official NHT domain (N-H-T Dot G-O-V Dot J-M) and contact customer care if in doubt.
