The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) will provide oversight regarding the Mas Camp incident, which allegedly involved off-duty police officers.

In its release, the investigative body emphasized that its mandate does not allow for the investigation of civilians. However, with assistance from the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), they will address the matter given the number of civilians involved.

Meanwhile, the Commission reminds the public that any citizen who wishes to file a complaint about being assaulted by an on-duty or off-duty officer can report the incident to INDECOM
