A family is appealing for urgency in making space available at an intensive care unit (ICU) to care for a patient in critical condition following a hit and run.
The injured 26-year-old is said to be in an induced coma and is urgently in need of advanced medical care as his health deteriorates daily.
On Friday 26-year-old Romario Manning went for a ride on his bicycle in Mocho, Clarendon when an unregistered and unlicensed vehicle hit him in a blind corner.
The hit and run ended tragically leaving Manning in critical condition at the May Pen Hospital. Manning who is currently battling for his life is said to have a broken neck, leg and is seemingly paralyzed from shoulders down. However, his urgent need for space at an ICU was not granted as the hospital’s ICU is said to be at capacity.
