Jamaica and the Dominican Republic have been focused on increasing collaboration in tourism, trade, sports, and culture, among other areas. Seeking to bring tangible benefits to both countries, Jamaica’s Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett, and various government officials from the Dominican Republic gathered at the inaugural Jamaican, Dominican Republic business forum. “A building out of a relationship between two great countries in the northern Caribbean,” is how Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett describes Jamaica and the Dominican Republic’s efforts in forging closer ties, which he says will help drive economic development and prosperity in both countries.
On Tuesday at the inaugural Jamaican/Dominican Republic Business Forum, Minister Bartlett says the focus is on increasing connectivity between the two countries, noting future investments.
