Jamaica Fire Brigade Contract Workers Restive

Another public sector group has joined the chorus of discontent regarding its members’ salaries. Contract workers at the Jamaica Fire Brigade are expressing their dissatisfaction with the treatment they’ve been receiving from the government. Speaking to CVM News today, they emphasize that the current conditions must be improved, warning that tensions could escalate.

Contract drivers and mechanics, employed by the Jamaica Fire Brigade, have initiated protests due to their growing frustration over the prolonged delay in wage increases. These workers are being represented by the Jamaica Civil Service Association. They emphasize that they have witnessed no salary increases over the past decade.
