As the island continues to receive heavy rainfall, residents in a St. Thomas community are crying for help to fix the roads.

The rains have left the roads with substantial damage forcing residents to travel by foot. One pathway was completely covered with deposits of sand. A resident explains that since the heavy rains they avoid using the road as they easily get stuck in the mud.

In that vicinity of St. Thomas, those who own a car have to leave it out on the main road, which is quite risky. There are a number of corner shops that are also being impacted by the road damage..as food trucks are not able to access the community.
