While the COVID-19 pandemic has garnered global attention, some physicians within the Caribbean are aiming to highlight the long-existing ischemic stroke, and are pushing to revolutionize the region’s health care system to facilitate adequate stroke care.
The physicians gathered at a mechanical thrombectomy workshop at the University Hospital of the West Indies on Monday to discuss a new treatment to limit deaths and disability.
