CVM TV was able to interview the general Jamaican public about the mandatory trackers for taxi, buses and any other public passenger vehicles that must be installed next year. While passengers welcome the move, the motorists worry that the Government’s focus is on the wrong policies and procedures.
The Transport and Mining Minister, Robert Montague says the trackers will improve the efficiency of the Public Transportation sector and can also assist with criminal investigations, and traffic offences.
