Insufficient containerization of garbage is another factor authority says is contributing to the widespread issue of improper waste disposal in Jamaica.
The Executive Director of the Solid Waste Management Authority says there is a greater need for the separation of garbage at the source. The need for greater care comes as the world continues to grapple with the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic, which has its own harmful waste from affected households.
