Amid several warnings of an impending mass teacher migration, President of the Jamaica Association of Principals of Secondary Schools, Linvern Wright says principals are anticipating a significant number of resignations by the end of August.
This as numerous recruiters from overseas, have intensified their efforts to employ Jamaica’s teachers to migrate for work. Wright says even though the numbers are currently unspecified, the number of teachers leaving will be significant. The President says this is a cause for great concern, not just the timing, but the country will be losing some of its finest teachers in critical subject areas. Watch the full report for details:
