Japex: Tourism Sector Experiencing ‘Regeneration’; Boasts 9.15% in Stopover Visits

Jamaica’s tourism sector is boasting a 9.15% increase in stopover visits to the island as of August. This increase has generated 2.39 billion US dollars for the sector.
These figures were announced on Monday, September at the opening ceremony annual Jamaica Product Exchange (JAPEX) in Montego Bay, St. James.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Tourism Enhancement Fund and renowned hotelier, Godfrey Dyer called for strengthened ties with the tourism sector and other local ministries such as manufacturing, agriculture and entertainment.
