School principals are prepared ahead of the new school term set to begin Monday, September 5; that is according to the President of the Jamaica Association of principals of secondary schools. He spoke with CVM LIVE following a meeting with principals and the education minister on Monday. Principal and president of the Jamaica Association of Principals of Secondary Schools Linvern Wright right say he’s pleased following Monday’s meeting with principals and Education Minister Fayval Williams.
Wright says a raft of things were discussed regarding plans for the new school term. Also emerging from the meeting was the issue of schools baring students who aren’t properly attired. However, Wright says he is not opposing this decision taken by some principals. He says principals are already prepared for the 2022/23 academic year. Having previously stated his concern regarding the teacher attrition rate, Wright maintains that in spite of challenges they may face, those who remain are optimistic.
