Consumers can expect an increase in prices for holiday favourites gungo and sorrel this Christmas. President of the Jamaica Agricultural Society (JAS), Lenworth Fulton attributes the hike to a recent decline in fruit and vegetable production.
He’s however lauding the efforts of farmers who continue to supply the population after being impacted by the passage of tropical storm Ian in September.

This follows the impact of tropical storm Ian in September that destroyed fruits and vegetables. However, he notes there has been a drop in the prices of fruits and vegetables.
