The Jamaica Association of Secretaries of Secondary Schools (JASSS), executed its launch of a new initiative geared towards further enabling the nation’s education landscape under the theme of securing the future of education by investing in the present.
Education stakeholders from across the island were in attendance at the May Day High School on Friday, July 16, for the launch.
Marcia Stone-Neil, Convenor of the JASSS Steering Committee, gave an overview of the initiative’s inception before the launch.
She notes that in January of this year some high schools came together to form a focus body, which went on to establish other groups.
Mrs. Stone-Neil further highlights the aims of the association as it seeks to grow.
