The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) and the Firearm Licensing Authority are warning firearm holders to desist from using their weapons to perform gun salutes. The authorities say the practice is not only illegal but unsafe. CVM Live revisited one family in Mount Salem, St. James whose daughter is a victim of gun salute last year. The family is still recovering and is appealing to the public not to engage in the illegal practice.
