A joint military and police operation was conducted in several communities in the St. Andrew South Police Division. The goal of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) and the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) is to find criminals, especially those who were listed as most wanted by the police in connection to a string of criminal activities in the space.
According to Commanding Officer for the St. Andrew South Police Division Senior Superintendent Kirk Ricketts, the Whitefield Town and Winage Farm Communities can expect heightened security presence, as they search for criminals wreaking havoc in the space. Just last week the area recorded a double murder, which SSP Ricketts attributes to gang conflict. Watch the report:
