The sergeant received a gunshot wound to his shoulder before the gunmen escaped. He was taken to hospital, treated and released, the other officer was not armed.
In response to the attacks ..the Police Commissioner, Major General Antony Anderson says the force remains undeterred in their efforts to bring down gangs..
He adds, ‘”we will relentlessly pursue, not only the individuals who carried out these attacks, but also those who help facilitate, organize and coordinate them in any way.”
