JCF to Recruit Over 1200 Officers Annually

With scores of newly recruited officers deployed across the country for the holiday season, the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is seeking to recruit more persons to strengthen the group. Commissioner of Police, Major General Anthony Anderson says it is important to recruit over 1200 officers to serve and protect Jamaica.

He notes the JCF strives to increase growth with 800 to 1000 additional officers each year to fill gaps such as migration and retirement. Major Anderson says training of the recruits continues as he anticipates over 300 new officers in February.  He says without growth the team will struggle to fill its mandate, to serve and protect.
