The Jamaica Constabulary Force is on a mission to regain the trust of the citizens. During a community tour in St Catherine, the police played football youngsters of Trinity. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in charge of the Linstead Division, Sharmitch Barnett said integrating with residents is part of their initiative to partner with communities and encourage participation in investigations.

Surveys conducted in recent years repeatedly show the public’s view of law enforcement as a corrupt entity of the criminal justice system, however as the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is seeking to regain trust, community engagement is taking a more prominent role in this approach to building a better rapport with citizens.
