Opposition Deputy Spokesperson on Health, Jesse James Clarke says the government should make education free for all medical students. He suggests this along with considerate compensation, may subdue migration rates within the sector. Clarke is calling on the government to make education free for students studying medicine.
With medicine being one of the most expensive programmes offered by universities, Clarke explains the bleak reality of many healthcare hopefuls. Clarke visualizes the long term benefits this may have in expanding access to healthcare which will result in a healthier population. Advocating also for a better compensation rate, Clarke says certain incentives such as housing benefits should be provided.
