President of the Jamaica Gasolene Retailers Association, Dianne Parram, continues her plea to the government to cushion the constant fuel price increase. Following the $4.50 price increase on fuel Thursday, President Dianne Parram, is concerned for the livelihood of all citizens, noting the increase in fuel affects not just motorist but the nation.
Parram is warning if the prices continue to increase with no mitigation to cushion the inflation, there will be fallouts with members of the association. There have been numerous calls for the government to find better solutions to cap the price for gas.
However, those calls have fallen on deaf ear. Meanwhile, the JGRA President went further, to question the government’s effort in using hedge tax. The Prime Minister recently shared his concern about the possible threat of global travel, due to the increase in fuel leading to ticket price increase.
