JLP Continues to Defend SOE Imposed In St. James

The Local Government Minister, Desmond McKenzie, is among those supporting the Prime Minister’s choice to implement a 14-day State of Public Emergency in St. James. This decision follows a series of murders, including a triple homicide that tragically claimed the lives of two children. However, the opposition is pushing back against the Prime Minister’s decision, arguing that states of emergency have been attempted before and have failed. Nonetheless, the government asserts that this measure is instrumental in bringing crime under control. Watch the report:
