JLP “Strong And Ready” For Election Battle

All the bigwigs of the Jamaica Labour Party were out in their numbers on Sunday for the party’s Area One Council Meeting in the Prime Minister’s St. Andrew West Central constituency.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness fired back at criticism his administration has been facing and hinted to an election after the budget has been tabled.

Defending the government’s handling of crime, Holness points out that the opposition’s concept of a crime plan, is the forming of squads, which can be linked to the increase in police killings.

On corruption Holness says his government is transparent, though others are stuck criticizing.

Holness says some internal changes are being made to position the party for the next general election.
