President of the Jamaica Teachers Association (JTA), Lasonja Harrison, says despite numerous concerns about the direction of Jamaica’s education, amid mass teacher migration, she is anticipating a good school year.
Despite challenges and concerns about teachers leaving and expected transportation chaos, as Jamaica enters a new school year, on Monday, the President of the Jamaica Teachers Association, Lasonja Harrison, was hopeful for a fruitful back-to-school experience.
She calls on the nation to reflect on the state of education, especially on the heels of our 60th year of independence. The president further encourages parents to play their part in the education of their children. More details below:
