President of the Jamaica Teachers’ Association (JTA), Winston Smith says the government must turn its attention to the behaviour of students coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic. This follows the multiple incidents of school violence resulting in several injuries. The president is recommending the implementation of more guidance counselors in schools to help monitor students’ behaviour.
He fears too much will be lost if the situation is not urgently monitored. More details here:
