On the heels of numerous debates about the shortage of buses in the Corporate Area, the Communications Manager of the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC ) Cecil Thoms, says the issue is being addressed and passengers can expect a fleet of new buses in March 2023.
Thoms notes after the electric bus is licensed it will accompany a pilot project within a month to see how it operates. Welcoming the arrival of the new buses Thoms anticipates a reduction in the challenges commuters face. With the increased costs of fuel, Thoms says he hopes the introduction of the E-V bus will reduce costs over time. Watch the full report here:
