Klansman Trial Resumes, Secret Recordings Played Out Loud

On Monday the Court heard more conversations secretly recorded between alleged members of the One Don Klansman Gang. In a conference call with three of his cronies, reputed leader Andre ‘Blackman’ Bryan, who was in jail at the time, expressed confidence that he will be released from lock-up adding that the police were bluffing and had little to no information to detain him and that he is looking forward to going home

The conversation was secretly recorded by a former gang member who switched allegiance, joining forces with the police to dismantle the alleged criminal organization. 

A 45-minute-long telephone conversation was amplified for the courtroom on Monday, between the reputed gang leader, Andre ‘Blackman’ Bryan, the former gang member now turned State Witness, Defendants Stephanie Christie alias Muma and City-Puss – who is yet to be formally identified in court.

In the conversation, Christie was heard encouraging him, “yaah come a yuh yard man…just a gwaan hold it till yuh jump pon di groun doe” Based on the police’s investigation, the callers were convinced that they had a direct link to the alleged criminal organization. City Puss was heard saying “di detail weh dem a get, a direct argument dat,” as they all tried to ascertain the police’s source.

The mysterious defendant went further, telling Bryan that he is surrounded by Judas’…The conversation was seemingly disrupted by a fight in the facility where Bryan was being held, which resulted in Bryan leaving the call. City Puss, Christie, and the former gang member turned state witness continued the conversation, discussing disloyal members of the alleged gang…

City Puss, who the former gangster previously described as evil, started sharing stories of how he helped to build the system – in reference to the alleged criminal organization. Quote “parrie mi know dis too much bredda, mi know a dats why Tesha nuh like mi, Tesha nuh know di system like me,” – referring to Tesha Miller the reputed leader for one faction of the gang, who is currently incarcerated.

He went further making mention of a Bulbie, “a me send guh shoot up di police station di night when Bulbie dead enuh, and mi nuh send dem fi shoot up nuh station…mi tell dem fi drive a di CIB door and empty two a di m16 in deh” end quote

The witness explained that Bulbie, Donovan Bennett, who was fatally shot by the police in 2005, was a former leader of the organization. The conversation ended when Christie who is a pastor said, quote “mi a guh inah di church, mi a guh mek a circle innah di church and den come back” end quote…

The trial will reconvene on Tuesday at 10am.
