Kingston Mayor Delroy Williams says despite limitations, the Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation remains committed to the cleaning of critical coastal and non-coastal drains to mitigate flooding across the municipality amid the hurricane season.
While speaking to our news team on Saturday, he also appealed to residents to desist from polluting the drains. In providing an update on the KSAMC’s mass drain cleaning initiative in flood-prone areas, Kingston Mayor Delroy Williams says work on the Duhaney River in New Haven, St. Andrew is complete. He says that progress is being made across other sections of the corporate area.
The Trelawny drain in Riverton Meadows, is also receiving much -needed cleaning. More details in the report below:
