KSAMC Feeds the Homeless in Downtown, Kingston

Over a hundred homeless persons were provided with meals by the Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC) on Christmas day. Members of the municipality were accompanied by the Kingston central police at the Marie Atkins Shelter on Hanover Street in Downtown, Kingston.

Mayor of Kingston Delroy Williams says this rich tradition of the KSAMC sought to feed a larger number of persons this time around and added that more meals will be provided on New Year’s Day. Mayor Williams is also thankful to all church and non-profit organizations for supporting the municipality over the years. He notes amid the pandemic the numbers of homeless persons in the facility are not as high.
