Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO) recently launched the online portal, Jamaica Business Gateway, which the organization states will revolutionize the application process between business to government transactions. This is said to be the first step in making digitized government services a reality. Presidents of Jamaica Promotions Corporations (JAMPRO) Shullette Cox, says this digitized system will grant businesses the opportunity to apply for and track various licenses, permits, and approvals from the government. Some of its services that are currently available include applications for cannabis licenses, film registration, divestment of crown lands, and registration for pharmaceuticals.
The Minister of Industry, Investment and Commerce Senator Aubyn Hill says the Jamaica business gateway is a definitive signal that Jamaica is doing business in a brand-new way. Senator Hill says it marks a new era of connectivity, driven by and embracing the power of technology. Watch the report:
