As students from the William Knibb Memorial High school and the Holland High School in Trelawny were out in their numbers for the new school term, the journey to both institutions often time makes the ride uncomfortable due to poor conditions.
Additionally, when it rains flooding makes the roadway impassable. Principal of the William Knibb Memorial Linvern Wright, says the roads leading to William Knibb and Holland High have been in this poor state for a long time. He notes there have been several meetings with the relevant authorities and to date, nothing has changed. Wright says this sends a clear message regarding the government’s priorities.
