Local Government Adds $50m To Drought Response

Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Desmond McKenzie has announced an allocation of 50 million dollars towards the government’s drought response. He says the government will be responding to agencies of importance including schools, hospitals, and communities without water. 

However, he warns citizens not to be misguided by the expectation of major rainfall anytime soon, but to preserve what they have. Watch the report:
