Tourism Minister, Ed Bartlett is projecting a full rebound of the local tourism sector by 2023/2024. He however notes that Jamaica is likely to see the onset of normality as early as September or October this year.
Meanwhile, the Minister says Jamaica’s now ready to meet the recent testing requirements of three of it is largest source markets for tourists.
Foreigners traveling to the island from the United Kingdom, Canada and the US are now expected to provide negative COVID-19 results before being able to return to those countries.
Minister Bartlett says while this may affect the local economy, the service quality remains pristine.
