Localizing the Climate Change Conversation; Focusing on Sustainable Development

There’s growing global conversation about climate change with some skepticism surrounding its impact.

Speaking last evening on CVM LIVE, environmentalist Peter Espeut and Associate Professor in the Faculty of the Built Environment at the University of Technology (UTECH), Dr Carol Archer, attempted to localize the conversation, focusing on environmental concerns, the Cockpit Country and sustainable development.

Dr Archer called for a reassessment of materials used in the design and layout of cities across the island and Mr Espeut accused the government and opposition of not following through on environmental promises made.
